Zhongshan Forest map

Kinmen’s first forest recreational area, which includes an outdoor performance area, tennis courts, forest trail, skating rink, barbecue area, swimming pool, and café. These is also a President Chiang Ching-Kuo Memorial Center, where several of his writings, possessions, photographs, and historical events are on display.

Qionglin Village map

One of Kinmen’s most important cultural artifacts, Qionglin Village consists of 5 clans, which are clearly separated. The buildings were built in accordance to lineage society development standards and are very organized. The interiors are still preserved in the structure of the mid-Ming Dynasty.

Taihu Recreational Area map

Suitable for cycling A large, 45-hectare area surrounding Taihu Lake that includes Chung Cheng Memorial Forest, Banyan Park, Yu Da Wei Xian Sheng Memorial Museum, August 23 Artillery Battle Museum, and Wei Lu. It is the most expansive recreational area in eastern Kinmen. The August 23 Artillery Battle Museum is the most historically notable attraction, as it exhibits the turbulent 20-some years of war on the island.

Kinmen Forest Recreational Area map

A sizable park that covers an area of 36 hectares, built in 1956. There are water parks, botanical gardens, and forestry exhibition halls, in addition to the serene natural environment within the area. Even in the summer, you can feel cool and comfortable under the trees.

Guningtou War Museum map

Built in 1984 by Kinmen’s Department of Defense Commander Song Hsin-Lien. On display are 12 large paintings that explain the history of the Guningtou War, supplemented by other audiovisual exhibits.

Shuangli Wetlands Nature Center map

Presents Kinmen’s abundant natural resources in creative ways. The first floor has historical monuments and the natural evolution of cultural history on display, whereas B1 is situated within a lake, allowing visitors to view the organisms and vegetation in their natural habitat.

Chenggong Tunnel map

A 620-meter long tunnel built out of granite and concrete. Outside the tunnel is the famous Chenggong Beach, where the annual clam festivals are held.

Shuitou Village map

Recommended Stay Time 2HR One of the seven important traditional villages within Kinmen National Park. Their architectural style is a beautifully ornate combination of traditional Fujian and Western styles.

Jhaishan Tunnel map

A 357-meter long supply tunnel built during the war in 1963. It features a jetty and is a magnificent sight, definitely an attraction you don’t want to miss.
